I agree with you that we can use media networks to free up FTF class time for activities that are best accomplished in meat space. Straighterline isn't that kind of product, or at least it wasn't when I wrote this article. As I think you are suggesting here, making these kinds of changes might result in new pedagogic challenges for faculty. Unfortunately in my own limited observations they tend to be fairly limited. At the same time the typical faculty member's delivery of information (for want of a better word) tends to be pretty dreadful.
